dance classes for toddlers
A fun and busy 30 minute class with carer working alongside little ones to help them during the class. This class is a general dance & movement session incorporating dance, songs and fun props to help to develop little ones’ motor skills and co-ordination, in a relaxed and fun environment. We now focus on encouraging little ones to get them walking, turning, clapping, stamping, bending knees, jumping and finding body parts and having along the way.
A 30 minute ballet based class with carer still working alongside little ones. We now continue the dance journey at a slightly more advanced stage and begin to bring the basics of ballet into the classes, learning first and second position, running on tip toes, pointing our toes, hoping, jumping and much more. We also enjoy going on mini-adventures and getting little ones to start to use their imaginations, for example we may visit the fairy garden or the land of the giants.
All toddlers love to make noise and what better way than putting on a pair of tap shoes and stomping around the room. Learning the basics of tap to fun songs your little one will soon be tapping away, again with carer still helping and working alongside your little ones when they are need that extra help. All tap classes are 30 minutes and most centres will provide tap shoes that can be used for trial sessions.
A 30 minute ballet class where we now begin to work on more ballet technique during the classes and start to use the French terminology. Our dancers will still be taught ballet in a fun way, we may take a trip to the Tooth Fairy or to the land of the butterflies. Carer will no longer be dancing along side their little one and once our dancers reach 4 years + classes we encourage parents to wait in the side rooms to help little ones to be more independent.
A 30 minute action packed dance class – based on street dance and pop dance. Your dancer will be soon be bopping away to learn the basics of dance movement, using props and modern day tunes to let your little ones wiggle and giggle.
Once our dancers start in reception we then start to teach the RAD ballet syllabus and IDTA tap/modern syllabus and students have the option to take exams (this is optional). Our ethos is still to keep classes fun but now following the requirements of the exam boards and we also promote independent learning, so we ask all parents to now remain in the side room during classes.
A safe environment for your little one to learn and most of all have fun with their carer by their side, not to mention the fun that Mummy, Daddy, Granny, Granddad or any adult who wishes to accompany your little one will have as well!

My 3 year old attends both the ballet and tap classes and absolutely loves both…With both classes you can tell a lot of thought has gone into making them as fun as possible – she loves showing off her ‘moves’ to family when she can! Great value for money too! Deborah
Outstanding skills in teaching. My boys have progressed in coordination, balance & musicality. However, I am mostly impressed that Michelle manages to bring smiles to my children’s faces and encourages them to just have fun! Sita
My daughter is on her 3rd year with Twirling Toddlers and loves the classes! They are relaxed and fun and she loves coming home and showing us what they did in class. I have recommended the classes to all my friends! Vicki
