Michelle Venter RAD RTS, AIDTA, BA (Hons)
Owner and Founder of Twirling Toddlers
I'm Michelle Venter and I run Twirling Toddlers. I'm a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of
Dance (RAD) and International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA), I also have a BA (Hons) degree in
Dance from Coventry University and I'm a qualified fitness instructor. I was joint principal and taught
at the Leamington and Warwick Academy of Dance for over 7 years and lectured in dance at City College
in Coventry. I was then lucky enough to spend a year in Jersey teaching at the Jersey Academy of Dance
and Highlands College, returning to the UK in 2011 to do the most important thing in my life….become a Mum.
I set up Twirling toddlers as I realised how limited the dance world is for the under 3 year old, yet it
doesn't need to be. Through the use of movement and music our little ones can develop motor skills,
confidence, body awareness and most of all have fun. Not to mention the amount of fun the adults can
have also.
| Cheryl Revill BA (Hons) Freelance Teacher |
I was brought up in Surrey where I trained as a competitive gymnast for 13 years from the age of 5, competing
at a regional and a National level. I studied dance at GCSE and A Level at Secondary School and went on to
study Dance and Professional Practice at Coventry University.
I started lecturing in dance at City College Coventry in 2001. Alongside working at City College, I also taught
as a freelance dance teacher in and around Coventry, working at various primary schools and stage schools
teaching Street Dance, Contemporary Dance, Cheerleading and Gymnastics. I have also worked with many
disadvantaged children in small projects around the area, delivering workshops in different dance styles.
As well as being a BGA Level 2 qualified gymnastics instructor, I also have a Certificate of Education
for Teaching and Learning and qualified in 2004as a fitness instructor.
I ran a successful children’s dance company for 6 years until deciding to have my own children.
I have a 4 year old daughter and an 18 month old little boy – who have inspired me to return to teaching
the little ones, who bring us so much joy and energy.
